RALEIGH, N.C. — The city's Community Services Department is seeking volunteers to install low-flow shower heads and faucet aerators for low- and moderate-income residents.

To help conserve water during the drought, the City Council agreed to purchase 5,000 low-flow devices for low- and moderate-income people. Many of the people need help installing the devices.

Officials said they hope to begin installing the devices by March 24.

Volunteers are asked to contribute as much time as they can to help with the installations. Anyone interested in volunteering should call Brent Quick at 919-831-6120 or e-mail him at brent.quick@ci.raleigh.nc.us.
