Victims of I-40 wreck identified
State troopers say that a Virginia man was killed in a wreck that shut down eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 in Orange County early Friday.

Marcus A.H. Frazier, 35, and Amanda Nicole Mawyer, both of Charlottesville, Va., were the only two occupants of a Toyota SUV on I-40, near New Hope Church Road. Troopers said it wasn't clear which person was driving.
Around 4 a.m., the SUV driver made an "evasive" right turn, troopers said, and the vehicle overturned several times. Frazier and Mawyer, who weren't wearing seat belts, were both ejected from the vehicle.
Frazier died upon impact, and Mawyer was taken to UNC Hospitals, where she was in critical condition.
Frazier and Mawyer are related by marriage.
Troopers said they found beer cans in the SUV and at the crash scene, there was a heavy odor of alcohol about both victims, and a blood test on Mawyer was positive for alcohol.
Charges are possible in the wreck, troopers said.
I-40 East was closed for nearly four hours after the wreck.
