<b>GARNER, N.C.</b> — Authorities on Wednesday identified two people killed in a fiery wreck near Garner last Friday.

Robert JaQual Ray, 19, of Dunn, and Kevin LeSean Amerson, 18, of Erwin, crashed into a wooded area off Old Stage Road near the Eagle Ridge subdivision late Friday, said Sgt. C.S. Taylor of the state Highway Patrol.

The car caught fire after the crash, which made it difficult to identify the teens, Taylor said.

Speed might have been a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation, he said.
