I knew Brandon for a couple years after he got out of the Army while he joined his brother in the sign business in Durham. We worked together, and he help me many times on outside jobs as my assistant and did a greaat job.

What I liked most about Brandon is that he was always smiling and in a good mood, and had a great sense of humor. We laughed and joked around a lot on and off the job. He asked me one time to be a reference for a police job he had applied for. I couldn't think of anything negative. He was just a good kid with a great future.

I was totally blown away when I turned on my computer Sunday morning to see his name in the headlines. I had just seen him at Southpoint not long ago.

I am happy that in his short time on earth I was his friend.

    He will certainly be missed!
