Vance County man accused of embezzlement
Christopher Privett is suspected of embezzling more than $93,000 in income taxes that should have been paid to the state, according to authorities.

Christopher D. Privett Sr., 41, of 285 Burchette Road in Manson, is suspected of embezzling more than $93,000 in income taxes that should have been paid to the state, according to authorities.
Privett was arrested following a state Department of Revenue criminal investigation into his company, Trowel Trades.
The tax infractions happened between January 2004 and December 2007, according to authorities.
Privett was being held under a $20,000 bond in the Wake County jail on Friday.
