DURHAM, N.C. — Four Virginia men were arrested early Monday morning, minutes after allegedly robbing a Durham Walgreens.

Durham police said officers responded to a reported armed robbery at a Walgreens at 6405 Fayetteville Road just after 3 a.m.

Authorities said three men armed with guns and wearing masks entered the store and demanded money before forcing employees to lie on the floor and fleeing in an orange Dodge Neon driven by a fourth man.

Investigators said the vehicle and men matched the description of suspects who robbed a Walgreens on West Williams Street in Apex less than an hour earlier.

Shortly after the incident, a Durham officer spotted the Dodge Neon and, after stopping it, found belongings from the victims of the Walgreens robbery inside, police said.

Armand Devone Mullen, 25, Dallas Cogdell III, 23, Tyquan Maccutcheon, 23, all of Hampton Virginia, and Dikembwe Jones, 24, of Newport News, Virginia, were all charged with three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of second-degree kidnapping and one count of felony conspiracy.

Police in Apex also charged all four men with four counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, one count of second-degree kidnapping and one count of felony conspiracy.
