Uniforms stolen from Durham police officer's home

Durham police are investigating after uniforms were stolen from the home of a Durham Police Department officer.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are investigating after uniforms were stolen from the home of a Durham Police Department officer.

Authorities said the uniforms were stolen during a break-in, but no department issued badges or identification were stolen.

The name and address of the officer was being withheld for safety reasons, police said.

Any person concerned with the legitimacy of an officer should request to see department identification.
