UNC police seek two wanted in armed robbery

UNC police are seeking the public's help to identify two people wanted in connection with an armed robbery that happened Friday night near Memorial Hall on East Cameron Avenue.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — UNC police are seeking the public's help to identify two people wanted in connection with an armed robbery that happened Friday night near Memorial Hall on East Cameron Avenue.

According to investigators, two armed men approached the victims at about 11 p.m. and demanded their wallets and iPhones.

The men, who were described as between 25 to 30 years old, then pushed the victims to the ground and ran toward Franklin Street.

One of the men wanted by police was described as 6-feet tall and heavy set. He was wearing a do-rag and short-sleeve dark shirt, and he had scruffy facial hair, authorities said.

The other man was described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and thin. He was wearing a dark shirt and khaki shorts, and he was described as having thick hair, possibly in dreadlocks or braids, police said.
