U.S. Coffee Championships headed to Durham

Coffee baristas and brewers will be battling it out in the eastern division of the U.S. Coffee Championships held in Durham this weekend.

Coffee baristas and brewers from across the country will be battling it out in the eastern division of the U.S. Coffee Championships held in Durham this weekend.
Some of the local baristas competing include Steph Caronna of La Farm Bakery in Cary, Jennifer Hall and Katie Rant of Sola in Raleigh, Dylan McFatrick of The Morning Times in Raleigh and Andrew Cash and Tim Jones of Jubala in Raleigh.
Local brewers competing include Josh Kimbrough and Miles Murray of Carrboro Coffee in Carrboro, Jonathan Bonchak of Counter Culture Coffee in Durham, Trevor Patton and Helen Flowers of The Morning Times in Raleigh, Brian Maiers of Joe Van Gogh in Hillsborough and Kyle Ramage of Mahlkonig in Durham. 
The event is free and open to the public and kicks off Thursday. All battles will take place at The Cotton Room.
