Two wanted in connection with Chapel Hill shooting

Chapel Hill police are looking for Rahmil Dimitri Ingram, 20, and Jahmil Deshawn Ingram, 18, who are wanted in connection with a shooting early Tuesday morning in which a man was shot in the hand and abdomen.

Chapel Hill police are looking for two men wanted in connection with a shooting early Tuesday morning in which a man was shot in the hand and abdomen.

Arrest warrants were issued Wednesday for Rahmil Dimitri Ingram, 20, and Jahmil Deshawn Ingram, 18, in the Sept. 24 shooting of Kenneth Hardin, 45, which happened around 5:30 a.m. at a home on Pope Road.

Hardin's injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

Rahmil Ingram is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, first-degree burglary, second-degree kidnapping, discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling and assault by pointing a gun.

Jahmil Ingram is charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree kidnapping, as well as other related conspiracy charges.
