Kristopher Wayne Patterson, 26, and Jennifer Leigh Johnson, 23, were arrested Wednesday after a warrant was served to search their Roanoke Rapids residence.

<b>ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C.</b> — Two people are facing drug charges after a marijuana bust Wednesday at a Roanoke Rapids home.

Kristopher Wayne Patterson, 26, and Jennifer Leigh Johnson, 23, were arrested after a warrant was served to search their residence.

Agents from the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office and the Roanoke Rapids Police Department said they found a handgun, over 13 grams of marijuana and various items used in the drug trade. <br />

Patterson and Johnson  were arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Patterson was released on a $2,000 unsecured bond. He is also currently on probation for a previous drug conviction from July of 2008.<br />

Johnson was released on a $1,000.00 unsecured bond.
