Two local moms hit the big time last Tuesday when they traveled up to New York for some national exposure.

The first was Raleigh mom Amy McCready, owner of Positive Parenting Solutions and Today Moms contributor. On Tuesday, she was part of a segment on swearing on The Today Show. You can catch the clip by clicking here.
At about the same time, Laurie Watson, another Raleigh mom, was on the set of Katie Couric's daytime show to talk about women with low libido. Watson is a fully licensed marriage and family counselor with a special certification in sex. She's been helping couples with their sex lives for more than a decade at Awakenings: Center for Intimacy and Sexuality on Six Forks Road in Raleigh. Her first book - "Wanting Sex Again: How to Rediscover Your Desire and Heal a Sexless Marriage" - was published in December.

The book was given to the entire audience. Watson also is offering services to a woman, who shared her personal story during the segment and happens to be from Morrisville.

The show will air at 3 p.m., Wednesday, on ABC.

(And a little shout out to another Raleigh mom who helped to get them there ... Jill Dykes).
