The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal head-on collision that happened Saturday night just outside Hillsborough.


<b>HILLSBOROUGH, N.C.</b> — The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal head-on collision that happened Saturday night just outside Hillsborough.

Investigators said Sunday that both drivers died in the wreck, which happened around 10:30 p.m. on Old N.C. Highway 10 near New Hope Church Road.

Authorities have identified one of the drivers as Dixie Shively of Durham County. The other driver has not yet been positively identified, authorities said.

Investigators aren't yet sure what caused the wreck.
