FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Two Fayetteville men wanted on charges of attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery surrendered to Cumberland County authorities Wednesday.

Timoty Lee Faircloth, 28, and Johnny Ray Oliphant, 28, both of 3514 Carlos Ave., were being held in the Cumberland County jail under separate $100,000 bonds.

According to authorities, Faircloth and Oliphant allegedly robbed 45-year-old Jesus Moreno at gunpoint in a wooded area Tuesday. They took his wallet and fired a shot that grazed Moreno's head.

After Moreno broke free, authorities said Faircloth and Oliphant continued to fire shots at him as he ran to his truck.

Faircloth and Oliphant will make their first court appearance Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
