Two charged in Halifax County home break-ins

Halifax County sheriff's deputies have arrested a woman and are looking for a man in connection with several home break-ins and car thefts in Littleton and Roanoke Rapids.

HALIFAX, N.C. — Halifax County sheriff's deputies have arrested a woman and are looking for a man in connection with several home break-ins and car thefts in Littleton and Roanoke Rapids.

Nekia Jones, 23, of Littleton, was arrested on one count each of second-degree burglary, larceny after breaking and entering and breaking and entering of a motor vehicle.

She was released under a $10,000 unsecured bond.

Ricky Edmonds, 46, also of Littleton, is wanted on more than two dozen charges, including seven counts each of breaking and entering and injury to property, four counts of breaking and entering motor vehicles, three counts each of misdemeanor larceny and larceny after breaking and entering, two counts of larceny of a motor vehicle, and one count each of second-degree burglary and possession of stolen goods.

Investigators said they have been able to return several items to their owners and are still doing so.
