GREENVILLE, N.C. — A Greenville man was arrested Friday on a murder charge, two days after his cousin was similarly charged in a June 29 shooting.

Valery Tyson died when she was shot while standing outside a house at 514 Vance St., Greenville police said. They added that they believe Tyson wasn't the intended victim and that the shooting stemmed from an assault earlier the same day.

Dominique Hosea Dixon, 21, of 406-A W. 13th St., was arrested Friday, detectives said.

His cousin, Adrian Levon Dixon, 21, of 100 Clubway Drive, Apt. 120., was arrested on Wednesday, police said.

Each was held without bond pending a court appearance.

Detectives said they were continuing to investigate both the shooting and the assault.
