Two arrested, two cleared in Rocky Mount homicide
Two men have been charged and two others cleared of wrongdoing in the May 15 shooting death of a 22-year-old man on Cokey Road, Rocky Mount police said Tuesday.
Posted — UpdatedClayton Jerrell Epps, 22, was leaving a store on Cokey Road in his 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse when he was shot, police said. He then lost control of the car and crashed into some nearby trees.
Epps died at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
Tyrone Foreman, 25, and Jermale Avent, 24, who were arrested Thursday, have been cleared of any wrongdoing, will be released from custody and the charges against them will be dropped, police said Tuesday.
