Two arrested in Wayne County home invasion

Two men are accused of forcing their way into the home of an elderly Goldsboro couple and robbing them on Thursday afternoon, police said.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Two men are accused of forcing their way into the home of an elderly Goldsboro couple and robbing them on Thursday afternoon, police said.

Police said they received several calls just before 1 p.m. about a home invasion and armed robbery at a home on Central Heights Road.

Authorities arrested two suspects after a foot pursuit.

Travis Antonia Harris Jr., 19, and Alfonzo Mack, 18, both of 203 S. Leslie St., are each charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and second-degree kidnapping. They also face one count each of assault inflicting serious bodily injury.

Both men were being held under a $500,000 bond in the Wayne County Detention Center on Thursday night.

The victims were assaulted during the robbery. They were treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital.
