RALEIGH, N.C. — After three years in business, Trophy Tap and Table is closing its doors to make way for a new concept.

"Since our dining rooms were closed, we have had to make a lot of hard and heartbreaking decisions that affect Trophy Tap & Table and our company as a whole," owners wrote on the restaurant's Instagram page Monday. "Without the option to safely welcome family, friends, and neighbors into our space, we have found ourselves thinking about our future and where our pursuits will take us. We have decided to close Trophy Tap & Table and make some major changes to the building and the concept."

Trophy Tap and Table opened at 225 S. Wilmington St. in January 2017. Before that, the space was home to Busy Bee Cafe, which opened in 2008. The same owners were behind both ventures, in addition to State of Beer and Trophy Brewing Company (which has locations on Maywood Avenue and West Morgan Street).

"This decision isn't easy, but we are looking forward to the new life the building will take on in the future," owners wrote on Instagram.
