Trooper involved in five-car crash in Raleigh
A North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper was involved in a five-car crash Saturday afternoon on Tryon Road near Lake Wheeler Road in Raleigh.

According to investigators, the crash happened at about 3 p.m. when 24-year-old Jeremy Dunlap fled from troopers. Troopers stopped Dunlap for a speeding violation, but as authorities approached his vehicle, he fled and hit four additional vehicles.
It was not immediately clear why Dunlap fled from law enforcement or where the chase began.
Dunlap is facing multiple charges including hit and run and resisting an officer.
According to the Highway Patrol, no one was seriously injured in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
