Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — It may be the season for March Madness, but Shaw University and the Triangle’s other historically black colleges and universities are getting ready for a different type of national championship.
Shaw, along with St. Augustine’s University and North Carolina Central University, will compete in the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge in Los Angeles on March 21. In its 26th season, the competition pits the smartest from 48 HBCUs nationwide in an academic competition similar to WRAL’s Brain Game.
Shaw will compete in the challenge for the first time in six years.
