Triangle Foodie News: Southern Season opening Raleigh location next month

RALEIGH, N.C.Southern Season announced plans this week to open a Raleigh location in Cameron Village next month. A Taste of Southern Season was a success as a temporary venue over the holidays in the same shopping center. The new location at 443 Daniels St. is twice the size of the temporary venue. It will offer gift baskets, cheese straws, nuts, barbecue sauces, cookies, cocktail mixes, wine, beer and coffee. There will also be kitchen gadgets. The location will open on May 23 with an official ribbon cutting set for May 28.
Kamado Grille is planning to open on Friday, May 1, in the old Lucky 32 location, 832 Spring Forest Road in north Raleigh, according to the restaurant's Facebook page.
Another opening next week: Cousins Maine Lobster food truck is making its Triangle debut on Friday, May 1, at Chatham Hill Winery. The truck will start serving at 4 p.m. until they sell out.
Chad McInytre, who used to own and operate Market, is getting back into the restaurant scene! He is on tap to run Person Street Pharmacy's gourmet cafe at 702 N. Person St. in downtown Raleigh, New Raleigh reports. The cafe will include a full bar, soda fountain and food. The minute clinic and cafe are under construction right now, but the historic pharmacy is still open.
Menchie's frozen yogurt is holding a grand opening Saturday, April 25, for its Parkside Town Commons location in Cary. Get some free frozen treats from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Novel Tea Shop in Lafayette Village in north Raleigh has closed its doors.
