CARY, N.C. — Traffic may be affected Thursday and Friday on three streets in Cary as crews remove 22 dead or damaged trees from sidewalks, town officials said.

The work will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting, along portions of Harrison Avenue, Academy Street and Chatham Street. As part of the tree removal, crews will also repair uneven sidewalk segments.

Town officials said 13 healthy trees will be replanted in the same areas at a later date.
