SELMA, N.C. — A tractor-trailer carrying watermelons overturned Tuesday morning while traveling northbound on Interstate 95 near Selma.

No injuries were reported in the crash, which happened about 5:30 a.m. near mile marker 99, state Highway Patrol trooper said.

The truck was exiting a rest area when it tried to stop along the side of the highway. Before coming to a stop, it slid down a ditch and overturned. The driver, Jamie Fisher, of New Jersey, was charged with a log book violation, Highway Patrol officials said.
