It was a toy. Why were the police called?

A toy gun causes a lock down. This is something that back in my day we did not have to worry about. Glad nothing happen seriously.

A serious offense? Really? Here is a news flash, children make mistakes. It a part of growing up.

Should it have happened? No, but it did and that child learned how adults are completely irrational.

I remember when in HS when a kid at my school brought a real gun to school and it was found in his backpack. They didn't lockdown the school. They took his behind to the principles office and called the cops and his parents. I am fairly certain that kid was more afraid of what his dad was going to do than what the police would do.

We need to stop overreacting to everything.

How does a toy gun lead to a lock down and make news? Really, how long did it take to realize the gun was fake? 2 seconds, maybe.
