Roxboro, N.C. — A 2-year-old boy was killed Wednesday evening after he was hit by a car north of Roxboro.
The accident happened at about 7 p.m. on Dirgie Mine Road near Friendship Crossing. North Carolina State Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Jeff Gordon said the boy, identified as Julian Washington, had been in a playroom, got out through a window or door and walked to the roadway.
Gordon said no charges will be filed against the driver or the parents of the child.
