ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. — Three more people were arrested in Virginia Friday in connection with a stabbing in Roanoke Rapids that critically injured a woman earlier this week, the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said Saturday.

Jerry Leonard Draper III, 34, was taken into custody in Greensville County, Va., by the Greensville County Sheriff's Office and charged with accessory after the fact to attempted murder.

Toni Renee Draper, 33, and Lauren Elizabeth Draper, 22, were arrested by Greensville County sheriff's deputies a short time later. They were each charged with attempted first-degree murder and felony conspiracy.

All three suspects were taken to the South Side Regional Jail and held without bond. They will be extradited to Halifax County, authorities said, but it wasn't clear how long that process would take.

The relationship between the three was not disclosed, nor was it clear how they knew Timothy Isaiah Moran, who was also arrested in Greensville County and charged with attempted first-degree murder on Monday.

Authorities say Moran, 35, stabbed a woman multiple times in a home in the Edgewater subdivision northwest of Roanoke Rapids and left her for dead. The victim, whose name was not released, managed to crawl several hundred yards to a nearby home to get help.
