Three displaced by fire at Raleigh apartment

Three people were displaced early Saturday after a fire at a single-story apartment on South State Street in Raleigh, fire department officials said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Three people were displaced early Saturday after a fire at a single-story apartment on South State Street in Raleigh, fire department officials said. 

About 35 firefighters responded to the 1315 S. State St. at about 5:15 a.m. Fire was visible from the front window of the apartment when crews arrived. 

It took about 20 minutes for crews to bring the blaze under control. No one was injured. 

Red Cross officials also responded to assist the family displaced by the blaze.
