Three charged in 2007 Roxboro homicide

Police said Tuesday that three people have been arrested in connection with a 6-year-old homicide case in Roxboro.

ROXBORO, N.C. — Police said Tuesday that three people have been arrested in connection with a 6-year-old homicide case in Roxboro.

Officers responding to a 911 hang-up call found Stephen Yarborough stabbed to death in his home on Aug. 25, 2007, police said. The back door to the house was open.

Dominaque Thorpe, 41, of 211 Kerr Drive in Roxboro, and Kenneth Sneed, 37, of 690 Thaxton Road in Roxboro, were arrested on Thursday, and Quentin Royster, 43, of 1820 James St. in Durham, was arrested Monday. All three are charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

They were being held without bond Tuesday in the Person County jail.

No other details, such as a motive for the killing and what evidence led investigators to the three suspects, were released,
