Crews quickly cap gas leak on NC State's Centennial Campus

Three buildings on North Carolina State University's Centennial Campus were briefly evacuated Monday afternoon due to a gas leak.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Three buildings on North Carolina State University's Centennial Campus were briefly evacuated Monday afternoon due to a gas leak.

Crews asked people to leave the Lexis-Nexis, Keystone Science and Partners III buildings, which are near the intersection of Main Campus and Varsity drives, at about 12:30 p.m.

The gas leak was capped about 30 minutes later, and people were allowed back into the buildings.

No information about the cause of the gas leak has been released.
