Third person arrested in Cary double shooting

Cary police on Monday charged a third man in connection with a shooting that injured two people at the Mobile Estates Trailer Park on Southeast Maynard Road on April 24.

CARY, N.C. — Cary police on Monday charged a third man in connection with a shooting that injured two people at the Mobile Estates Trailer Park on Southeast Maynard Road on April 24.

Gustavo Angel Centeno, 19, faces three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and one count of discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling.

Noe Bernal Lagunas, 20, was arrested last week and faces the same charges.

Daniel Lawrence Olvera, 20, was arrested on April 24. He faces three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

A 27-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were shot at the intersection of Waco and Stone streets shortly before 3 a.m., police said.

The victims were treated at WakeMed in Raleigh. A 19-year-old man was also treated at the scene.

Police did not release the identities or conditions of the two victims. They did say the shooting did not appear to be random and that more arrests could follow.
