A third man was arrested Friday in the shooting death earlier this week of a Henderson convenience store clerk.

Dontrell Jaquan Hargrove, 22, of the 400 block of Skenes Ave. in Henderson, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and accessory after the fact to first-degree murder of Ahmed Shahit.

Henderson police said two men entered the BP station at 615 Raleigh Road in Henderson on Monday and demanded cash. Shahit was later found dead.

Investigators on Thursday charged Marvin Hargrove Jr., 25, of 123 S. Cooper Drive in Henderson, with first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and second-degree kidnapping in connection with the crime.

Daiquan Jameek Waddell, 18, of 1828 S. Clearview Drive in Henderson, was arrested Wednesday on the same charges. He also has been charged in connection with three other robberies.

Friends said Shahit was from Yemen, where his wife and children live. He had no family in the area. He worked at the store for three years and walked there from a nearby duplex where he lived.

Police did not say whether Dontrell Hargrove and Marvin Hargrove are related.

Dontrell Hargrove was held under a $150,000 secured bond and scheduled for a first court appearance Monday.
