Thief breaks into Fayetteville high school, steals candy
A Fayetteville man is accused of breaking into a high school and stealing lollipops and a ball, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said Friday.
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man is accused of breaking into a high school and stealing lollipops and a ball, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
Investigators said Justin Statton Files, 20, of the 500 block of Orlando Street, used a rock to break a window at Howard Health and Life Sciences High School on Camden Road. Deputies patrolling the area saw him running from the school.
The stolen property was valued at $3.20.
Files was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, and possession of stolen goods.
He was held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $5,000 bond and is scheduled for a first court appearance Friday.
