CLINTON, N.C. — A teen was killed and a man was critically injured Sunday evening in a wreck at the intersection of U.S. Highway 13 and Autryville Road, authorities said.

Brandon Bethea, 21, of Dunn, ran the stop sign at the intersection, and his Buick Century collided with a westbound Chevrolet van driven by Terresa Coyle, 31, of Clinton, authorities said.

Gary Ray, 17, of Dunn, a passenger in Bethea's car, was killed in the wreck, authorities said.

Bethea was listed in serious condition Monday at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

Coyle and her three children were treated at a nearby hospital Sunday night and released.

The wreck remains under investigation.
