Teen Charged With Bringing Gun to Britt High
A Cumberland County teen was due in court Thursday on charges that he had a gun on the campus of Jack Britt High School.
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Cumberland County man charged with bringing a gun on the campus of Jack Britt High School was released on bond after a hearing Thursday.
Reginald Franklin Jr., 18, of 3611 Ireland Drive, allegedly brought a semi-automatic handgun and ammunition to Jack Britt High School on Wednesday afternoon after a fight broke out on the campus, authorities said.
Deputies said they found the gun in the trunk of a vehicle in which Franklin was a passenger.
Franklin was held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $2,000 secured bond.
