— A mother and son traveling home to Wilmington were in a SUV when it flipped onto its side along Interstate 40 East in Johnston County early Monday.

State troopers said the driver was fiddling with a CD player when the SUV ran into the median near Exit 315 onto Cornwallis Road around 2 a.m. He jerked the wheel back, and the SUV flipped onto its side.

Troopers said both mother and son were taken to Johnston Memorial Hospital and were expected to be OK.

    Glad they'll be okay.

    Passenger should fiddle with the CD player while the driver drives.

    The article says Cornwallis Road.

    @kurthesse

    I'm guessing they're referring to the 70 Clayton Bypass.

    reckless driving charge?

    I want to know where somebody found this exit 315... There isn't one between Hwy 42 (312) and Hwy 210 (319).

    Possibly they mean exit 325 (Hwy 242) - which exists.

    How do you "fiddle" with a CD player. I thought you fiddled with fiddles.
