DURHAM, N.C. — Police were searching Friday for a woman who held up a SunTrust bank branch.

Police were called to the branch, located at 5790 Fayetteville Road, shortly after 10 a.m., a Durham police spokeswoman said.

The spokeswoman said the suspect is a woman who was wearing a mask that covered the lower half of her face during the hold-up.

Police said the woman implied she had a weapon, but no one saw one.

The woman is described as a black woman with a light complexion. She was wearing a gray, hooded coat, burgundy, scrub style pants and gray sneakers.

According to the spokeswoman, the woman was seen driving a black 4-door Nissan with a 30-day temporary license tag.

No one was injured during the incident, and police have not said how much money was taken.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
