— About $63,000 in collector coins that had been stolen from a Wayne County home Monday were recovered late Tuesday, authorities said.

At about 6 p.m. Monday, a person living on Stevens Mill Road outside of Goldsboro reported the theft of several sets of collector coins.

The coins were recovered Tuesday, but authorities didn't provide details of how they were found or whether anyone would be charged in the case.

The owner was itemizing the coins recovered to ensure nothing was missing, authorities said.

The case remains under investigation.

Unless the person/persons knew what they were taking, they will probably spend at face value. I had a family member have some stolen years ago and the started turning up at a neighborhood store.

Man thats alot of silver! Melt value on it is probably only around $2500 though. Hope the person gets their stuff back. I've tried putting together a set of barber dimes and its just too expensive. The rarer dates and mints can get way on up there especially if the coins are graded.
