NORLINA, N.C. — The North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation has closed an assisted living center in Warren County. The Floyd McKissick Senior Assisted Living Center in Norlina received zero stars under the state's adult care licensure rating system.

After an inspection of the facility in April showed problems with admissions, resident care and medication management, the state pulled the facility's license and sent residents elsewhere.

Two other facilities in the state - Sunshine Family Care Homes in Eden and the WNC Family Care Home in Leicester – also received zero stars.
