— A Spring Lake man has been accused of engaging in inappropriate behavior with two children, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.

William Michael Hall, 23, of 1415 Milton St., was charged with eight counts of taking indecent liberties with a child and one count of false imprisonment.

Hall’s victims are a 9-year-old girl and 12-year-old girl, according to court documents. The incidents occurred in the victims’ home between April 1 and April 30, and again on Aug. 3 , authorities said.

Investigators said Hall was arrested after the children’s father walked into a bedroom of the home and allegedly saw Hall engaging in what appeared to be an inappropriate sexual act.

Hall is expected to make a first court appearance on Wednesday.

So he must be known to the family. The crimes took place over 30+ days? An uncle?

he's lucky that Dad didn't kill him on the spot. He won't get a slap on the wrist, he will go to JAIL. And other prisoners will give him some street justice.

I would gladly spend life in prison for ending this guys ablity to breath.

Thank God the father caught them and didn't take matters into his own hands.

Praying for sharp justice, but he'll probably get little more than a slap on the hands and a small prison sentence which just isn't right.

The bail/bond for a child molester should never be less than $1M, and the prison term, should they be convicted, should never be less than 30 actual years in prison with no possibility of parole to keep other children safe from them.

    God bless.
