Spring Lake man charged with sex crimes against children
A Spring Lake man has been accused of engaging in inappropriate behavior with two children, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.

William Michael Hall, 23, of 1415 Milton St., was charged with eight counts of taking indecent liberties with a child and one count of false imprisonment.
Hall’s victims are a 9-year-old girl and 12-year-old girl, according to court documents. The incidents occurred in the victims’ home between April 1 and April 30, and again on Aug. 3 , authorities said.
Investigators said Hall was arrested after the children’s father walked into a bedroom of the home and allegedly saw Hall engaging in what appeared to be an inappropriate sexual act.
Hall is expected to make a first court appearance on Wednesday.
