I call those kind of drivers self-esteem boosters. They boost my self-esteem because at least I'm smart enough to read road signs, know what they mean, and obey them.

I'm guessing this wreck was caused by someone going TOO SLOW for that stretch of road. It is SO FRUSTRATING driving around some of these drivers. Many people will drive about 45 on a 35MPH 4-lane road. And the same drivers will drive 40 when the speed limit changes to 45MPH. They will drive 65+ on a four-lane 55MPH road. As soon as that road turns into a 55MPH TWO-lane road, they slow to below 55MPH. Its the same dad-gum speed limit. Why did you change your speed? The speed limit around Walnut Street on US 1S is 55. It jumps to 65 just past Walnut Street. People struggle to even get to 65MPH. You almost run them over. Its frustrating. All I ask is this... if you like to drive 5MPH over the speed limit, drive 5MPH over the speed limit RAGARDLESS of how many lanes the road has! Be consistent! Otherwise, don't complain when I do something you consider stupid.

Was anyone seriously hurt? Nothing about the driver's condition. Why are there delays over the weekend? Does it take that long to clear a wreck?

I hope all involved are OK.

I love my 14 block commute.

Between this and the gravel drop on I-40 near Morrisville, am glad I'm retired.

Diverting traffic, unless it can be done quite safely, is never an option because it often leads to more accidents in which some could get hurt or killed, and that's not worth the chance just so some can make an appointment on time.

I'm agreeing with you csm0922. It would take much to long to safely divert into oncoming traffic.

Only the golo posters could find snarkiness in a simple traffic report.

i watched the sky5 footage thats where i got my facts. besides there a metal guardrails on either side of the median diving north and south bound lanes, cant drive through those.
