South View High students arrested for pot possession

School resource officers at South View High School arrested two boys for bringing marijuana onto campus last week, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Debbie Tanna said.

HOPE MILLS, N.C. — School resource officers at South View High School arrested two boys for bringing marijuana onto campus last week, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Debbie Tanna said.

The teens were both members of the high school football team.

Andrew Thomas Brown, 16, of Quarter Horse Run in Parkton, and Edward Anthony Elliott, 18, of Locklear Street in Fayetteville, are charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession.

Bond for each was set at $1,000.
