Some activities off limits at Lake Wheeler due to high bacteria
Officials are advising the public to limit some recreational activities at Lake Wheeler Park because of high bacteria levels in the water.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Officials are advising the public to limit some recreational activities at Lake Wheeler Park because of high bacteria levels in the water.
The City of Raleigh already prohibits swimming at park, and officials said water skiing and tubing are also off limits.
Fishing, sailing, kayaking, rowing and other activities that do not involve submersion are permitted.
