Silver Alert issued for missing Zebulon woman

The Wake County Sheriff's Office was searching early Wednesday for a 46-year-old woman who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

ZEBULON, N.C. — The Wake County Sheriff's Office was searching early Wednesday for a 46-year-old woman who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment. 

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for Victoria Stevens Gaskins about 3 a.m. after she went missing from a home in the 1200 block of Wild Honeysuckle Street in Zebulon. 

Gaskins is black, stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds, authorities said. She has short brown hair and brown eyes. 

No other information about Gaskins' appearance of where she might be headed was released.
