Silver Alert issued for missing Fayetteville man

Authorities in Fayetteville were searching Wednesday evening for a missing 39-year-old man.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Authorities in Fayetteville were searching Wednesday evening for a missing 39-year-old man.

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for Jason Wayne Young at about 7 p.m. Wednesday, saying he is believed to be suffering from a cognitive impairment.

Young was last seen at 2300 Ramsey St. wearing a blue and grey T-shirt, khaki shorts and white or grey socks.

Young is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 145 pounds. He has black and grey hair and brown eyes.

He may be headed to a Motel 6 or any motel in the area, authorities said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1830.
