Silver Alert issued for missing 62-year-old man

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a 62-year-old man believed to be suffering from dementia or other cognitive impairment.

Daryl Gene Smith was last seen at 2715 Tavern Court in Jamestown. The agency did not say how long he has been missing.
Smith may be traveling in a 2011 Hyundai with a Pennsylvania license plate GCK-2811.

He is white, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 135 pounds with short brown hair, blue eyes and glasses. A picture was not available.

Anyone with information about Smith should call Officer J. J. Crouse at the High Point Police Department at 336-883-3224.

    If this man was believed to be suffer from dementia or any other cognitive impairment then why in the world did someone NOT have a picture of him? A picture does a lot to help find this person. Also if you have a family member suffering for dementia please don't make the car keys available to this person. I pray they find this man and bring him back safe and sound. Once he gets back have someone take a current picture of this man. If he is at risk for waundering then the family/facility needs to get on top of that problem because once they waunder off they will do it again.
