Silver Alert issued for 59-year-old Warrenton man
Warrenton police were searching Saturday morning for a 59-year-old man who is believed to have a cognitive disability.
Posted — UpdatedThe North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for Raymond Brown Saturday morning about 11:30 a.m. after he went missing from a home in the 200 block of Warrenton Street.
Brown, who also goes by the nickname "Hunter," is 6 feet tall and weighs about 320 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes, and was wearing white shoes when he went missing.
Anyone with information should call the Warrenton Police Department at 252-257-3456.
Developed in 2007, Silver Alert is a system to quickly notify the public about missing endangered people who suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairments, such as Alzheimer's disease.
It also allows caregivers and nursing homes to report a person missing. In the past, only a family member could report an adult missing.
