Silver Alert issued for 40-year-old Wilson woman
Wilson police were searching early Thursday for a 40-year-old woman who is believed to be cognitively impaired.

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for Tammy Batten at about 3:30 a.m. after she went missing from Bynum Street in Wilson.
Batten is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds, police said. She has brown hair and green eyes, and she was wearing a gray coat, blue jeans and gray shoes when she went missing.
It's not clear where Batten may have been headed.
