WALLACE, N.C. — Authorities canceled a Silver Alert issued Monday afternoon for a Duplin County man last seen after church on Sunday.
Details about the resolution of the search for Isaac Carr, 88, were not immediately available from the Duplin County Sheriff's Office on Monday evening.

Carr had last been seen after church on Sunday, driving a dark blue, dented Ford F-150 with North Carolina license plate VXC-6054 west on N.C. Highway 41 from Wallace.

Developed in 2007, Silver Alert is a system to quickly notify the public about missing endangered adults who suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairments, such as Alzheimer's disease.

It also allows caregivers and nursing homes to report a person missing. In the past, only a family member could report an adult missing.
