Second person dies from Roanoke Rapids shooting

A 26-year-old woman shot at a Roanoke Rapids home late Sunday died Tuesday from her injuries, Halifax County Sheriff's Office said.

ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. — A 26-year-old woman shot at a Roanoke Rapids home late Sunday died Tuesday from her injuries, Halifax County Sheriff's Office said. 

Jennilee A. Foster died from injuries sustained in a shooting at a Delta Drive home. Thomas Tyrone Davis, 38, was killed in the shooting.

Witnesses said they saw a white Ford Crown Victoria pull up to the house and a man get out and go inside the house. The man then ran out of the house, jumped in the car and sped away toward N.C. Highway 158.
